ALternative to resleaving an open block

i was looking for a good motor site and di found this one with all these writeups on motor shit for hondas. this article explains how to faux sleeve an open block to handle more boost etc. looks pretty simple but i wonder how it works

its not that great of an idea...hotrex's b-series later took a dump due to the block filling. the filling will strengthen the stock sleeves, but at the cost of cooling and thermal expansion/contraction. The coolant doesn't actually touch the sleeves with the devcon, and devcon will act as an insulator (OK for a drag only car where heat doesnt have much time to build, but not good for a daily driver or other form of track car). From what I've seen, I don't think this is any better on a whole for strengthening than a regular block guard or posting.
