Neptune RTP due for release soon!!!
Just thought I would throw this out there. I've been keeping my eye on the system to see if would ever happen and at what price. Well........it's going to happen and should be available next month.
HRTuning
Neptune is a popular tuning system, but has been very exclusive to only a handful of tuners. Now it will be available to everyone!! The unit will fit inside the ECU and is similar to something along the lines of the S300, however, has more features. It is bluetooth capable which means you can datalog and tune with no cables!
Honda-Tech.com: Neptune RTP sneak peak!!
Honda-Tech.com: Neptune RTP Board Pre Sale Offering - Get yours by XMAS - GUARANTEED!!!
If I'm not mistaken, this is Jeff Evans program of choices so if you're in the area there is already a very knowledgable tuner if you don't want to DIY.

i havn't been paying attention to this but it deffinatly sounds like this is a route that might be worth going over crome pro. Just running the numbers, you'd be spending at least $325 just to get crompro and a ostrich, $125 more and you have what most tuners claim is the best program on the market?

Exactly! You'll have one integrated unit that can handle everything, and it's built on a code that is about as solid as they come. CROME is good but difficult for some. It's also a mish mosh of plug ins that are continouslly tweaked with new plug ins being revamped. Neptune is a one and done. Plug it in and play til your heart is content.
Bluetooth is an extra fee of about $100, but seems worth it IMO.

I'm super happy with my S300 and I don't even use 40% of the features. I have to say though with all the cool stuff coming out I'm glad I upgraded from the S200

Yeah, it's definitely making me debate which is better. I ended up with a copy of Cromepro so i've always just assumed i'd get an ostrich and go that route but this kind of makes me think if it's worth it. I've always heard Crome can be buggy at times and certain tuners won't even use it due to that.
I don't have bluetooth on my current laptop unfortunatly. One thing that did interest me though is they plan to have a version of Neptune that runs on Mac OS-X which i'm pretty sure is a first for a Honda tuning system.

They have it available for Mac
John, if I had an S300 already I wouldn't even really think about switching. You're good to go with your set-up. Upgrading from the S200 was a good move for you, especially since you ended up going FI.

the software was released. I havn't gotten a chance to go play with it though because i just saw it and i'm at work. I might try to install it on one of the mac's a little later just to see how the interface is on that.
