ugh....friend crashed at d1 - Tuner-Junction

as some of u know....d1 is on right now at irwindale speedway.....

a couple guys i know and a friend of mine went for licenses from the ZT crew

his nickname's baby. works for JIC-magic just recently and is part of the Drift Alliance/Pink Godzira street team. On practice day he had trouble with the car (it was rushed fresh outta paint and 6 hours later went to irwindale) after rehauling the car with a new engine since he grenaded the last built motor and had to replace his adjustable lower control arms to qualify for the regulations etc. etc.

even the legendary KOGUCHI looked over his car but couldnt pinpoint the problem why the car was DOA. they were strugglin all day with the car to get it workin. they finally pinpointed the problem to the injectors. and got it runnin with a quick run on the powerFC.

shit was running golden and his new paint and new aero looked pimp as fuck. ya'll should learn some style tips from a young cat like this

as u can see this fuckin weapon had amazing stance, awesome wheel fitment, wicked paint (midnight blue with black pearl), and an awesome combination of aero that simply blended all the way to awesometown. couple that with well placed decal work. this thing was right up there in my style books. these guys do it RIGHT.

so all was well. car was runnin sweet. engine was sweet. everything ended up workin out

then..............he hit the wall......................transition and understeer were the Gods for the night. and those fuckers said 'negatory' to baby and gave him the wall..........fuckers.....

the next pics hurt me. im shocked. and sad at the same time. u can see his head hit the steering wheel (check his helmet. its hidden by the a-pillar but u can make out his head is slightly tilted towards the camera side and just inches from hitting the wheel)

he blacked out on impact.

now if u know drifting. opposite lock (and u can see from the pics where he's in slide. one of the hands usually is either at 10 or 2 o'clock on the wheel)

you can see after the impact, the wheels are in opp lock. but no hands. blacked the fuck out.

he came to around the same time the rescue truck was arriving to his car

now i know EastRUN and the rest of the nissan guys havent been posting lately. EastRUN has been busy with life.....and fuck its hard to find balance, between that and building our cars (wait for it) hopefully all goes well.

but i had to post this, to give respect to the car. and one maniac of a driver. he was hittin the top of 3rd and the car went out like the rockstar he is. he's bruised up but nothing broken. finding a new chassis.

i ask that if u fuckers pray, pray for baby and that God will get him back into the saddle quick.

damn, atleast he's not too banged up. hopefully hes not too shook from that impact.

Atleast hes ok the car can be rebuilt or junked for parts and can build a better one from it. Atleast he isnt broken just hope his spirit isnt broken so he can get his ass back out there.

disagree on the styling but to each his own. Sucks about the car though and i hope he gets another together soon.

its drifting. its not a race lol. lets face it. drifting is a moving car show. u gotta have style as much as the drive. but yeah if u dont like it then ya dont like it......i think it has the elements that alot of ppl neglect.

when the pits were opened for autographs. some FUCKER stole his steering wheel

HOW FUCKING LOW IS THAT?! so even after the car's bust. now he's missing his wheel. thats such low ball shit i swear.......some fuckin ppl. i hope they fall off bridges.....

he's in high spirits though. he's sorta glad this chapter is over. he's blown so many engines outta bad luck (faulty injectors, bad rod knock, pistons grenading) and now this. and then even when the car's dead it decides to kick him in the balls ONE LAST TIME

the previous owner killed himself. we're all laughing about how the car was cursed. oh well. new chassis and 'say no to emo'.

As far as what i was saying about styling, it's just small things to me that didn't flow well. Mirrors, the red stuff interior/engine bay, and the tail lights mainly. The front bumper also shouldn't have a body line that ends at the fender like that. Normally i'm not nitpicky about style but you said people could take style tips from that car and i don't think it's quite that good.

yeah the reason why engine bay is red is because it was a body respray. it was originally red. and then it went 350z orange. and now this midnight blue with black pearl. doesnt show up very well in the photos.

he had better tail lights but grenaded them a while ago. he went for cheapo's. he should at least tint them but yeah they arent that great.
trust me. its hard to find a better s13......unless u could post one?

it looks ok from the pic that njn63 posted..

i love the overall bodykit and stance of the car... the decals and the rear lights dun agree with me but it's fucking sweet overall...

ppl who stole the wheel won't be falling out of bridges.. the next car that crashes out won't be into the wall.. it'll be into them

kudos to ur fren kev.. he's got balls as big as T-04Rs
