Front Tires
I know most budget racers use whatever random tires they get on the back, but what about front tires? Id imagine since they dont go through the abuse the rears do (or am i totally wrong) you could spend more moeny and get a good tire for the front?
if the above is mostly right, what tires are good for the front? Something that would have good turn-in and good grip right? Old-style azenis? T1-R's? just bored and thinking about random stuff i guess.

correct. unless ur runnin aggressive toe settings camber isnt gunna do too much in terms of tyre wear. and yes they last longer than the rears......also u dont want shithouse tyres at the front cos the last thing u want if u were to feint is understeer.....and usually when we feint....well.....its close to alot of things u dont wunna hit thats for sure........
i dont know what josh runs at the moment
im runnin goodyear eagle revspec rs-02's.....225/45/17 over 17x9's......rear is different.....
azenis from what ive spoken to with the drift alliance guys.....team falken...they are discontinuing or something....imma try to get some 245's before they run out here in aus....st115 the new batch are good....old ones were fuckin shithouse......new compound/adjusted a few years ago now though and for how much they cost....for the grip...and longevity. they are good tyres
but fork out some bread for front.

lords, ezeedee as corny as it sounds go buy the drift bible from best buy or somewhere, they cover all the different techniques of drifting.
Fient is going into a left turn
b4 the curve u go left a lil then right and then left into the curve. before u turn left u let off the gas and turn left and pound the gas.
kevlar back it up man i know u can explain it better

feinting......hmmmmm
ok basically ur just playin with chassis dynamics to help the slide. if u lift off the throttle and snap in, its gunna do a similar thing. why? when ur revving high and let off the throttle. what happens? ur rear wheels decelerate and the front of ur car tends to 'dive' forward....like braking. u've essentially shifted the chassis weight distribution to the front. the rear end load has been lightened so if u turn in sharply, the rear end will kick out due to the forward momentum.
feinting is say for a right turn (example). u initiate ur slide by moving left first and then snapping right. u dont HAVE to lift off, but that depends on ur suspension settings and how ur chassis dynamics work. silvia's dont have much trouble doin this.....it helps upset the rear because when u snap right and the front end goes right, the rear end is still goin in its initial momentum/direction. so it kicks out the rear end. u can feint while lift off oversteering, or using the ebrake, clutch kicking/popping. it basically helps the rear end kick out. gotta be careful cos u gotta catch it quicker since u can get bigger and quicker angles.
