Can't say i'm too surprised with this but it's amazing. No CA races, no midwest races. Might as well cancel the Utah/Co races and make it a east coast series.

This is without a doubt another nail in the coffin of "sport compact" drag racing. Can't say I care really because I never saw the point of differentiating the sport compacts from the regular series but I didn't expect this.

I agree, racing is racing. Personally I hate NOPI, they designate WAY too much time for open session and honesly no one wants to watch that bullshit, thats what Friday nights are for.

It's amazing though how many people talk on H-T about "keeping sport compact drag racing alive." I'm always sitting there thinking.. why? If we spent all the effort they spent bitching about the classes that exist they could easily get NHRA to slip every possible setup into Comp Eliminator and be racing for something meaningful. They already have previsions for Pro-Fwd and Hotrod style cars (if i remember correctly), meh.

This just cemented my opinion that if i'm going to build a race car, i'll run NHRA Divisional.
