Miami Ink (Tattoo Show) Needs Female Racer!

Miami Ink - a reality show that takes place mostly in our South Beach Tattoo shop - is looking for a female drag racer to appear on our show next week.

Because this is happening so last minute, it would be best to find someone in the state of Florida who could travel to the Miami area, however, if you would like to be on the show and don't mind traveling from out of state you are welcome to contact us as well.

If you are a female drag racer or know someone who is, please call us (or pass on our number to them.) The number to our casting office is 305-672-8052. Ask to speak to Ellen, Dana, or Bobby. Or write me an email at ellen.miami.ink@gmail.com

Thanks!

In the end isnt that what shops go into business for??? It always has and always will be about the money and you have to respect a business for that. Its great when they cater to the die hards but at the same time you have a bottom line to protect. I wonder if anybody responded to the ad?

I think most shops initially go into business because the owner is passionate about whatever he or she is doing. With tattoo shops the owner may be passionate about self expression or art in general or something like that. It's that passion that attracts the die hard clients.

The problem is that when you sign a contract to do a tv show the die hard clients get the feeling that you sold you passion for some money and your 15 minutes of fame. Even if that isn't the case what Kev said is true, you will see a great deal more tourists in this shop getting inked because they saw it on TV and it's cool now so the die hards feeling that you sold out are magnified.

its just hard cuz as an owner of a shop you have two groups to look after. die hard passionate clients and the others. in the end you have a business to run also. Signing a tv deal doesnt make you a sell out but if you deviate from your original plan because of the tv deal and you alienate your die hards because of the tv deal then its a bad thing.

i totally understand how business works and totally understand that you have the two groups..but like john said everybody wants to go to that shop now because it was on TV..liek that makes them the greatist thing around..its like hart and huntington in vegas...as soon as it went on tv..everybody and their mom was like..i gotta go there..i got mine there..etc...and i just look at those people like..good for you..you didn't go because they have some of the best artists..or because you wanted something special and they could handle it...you went because you either want a shot at being on tv too...or because you believe everything you see on tv..those are the kind of idiots that go get the stupidest tattoo ever and regret it 3 years later..not the people who go and get work done because the image is somethign that has meaning to them..but jsut something to take up space

and buy signing that tv deal, you automatically alientate your die hards weither you wanted to or not..in the end, they wanted to get the name out there, to get more people to come in, to make more money...it because mroe about the money than about the art..and that my friend is selling out..intent aside..its jsut what happens
