Basically, everytime i turn around i realize i havn't been looking at certain cars so i'm just going to throw cars organized by weight when i remember them in this first post. Please post up any if you think of them. Basically, they need to be RWD, under 3000 pounds, available for under a grand and fairly common (please refrain from a 1967 Shelby GT 500 ). I'm just pulling the weights off autotrader.com.

Oh, and i've been grouping them by engine because i plan on swapping it anyways. It's easier to compare weights when you take out the variable of engine (i'm sure they're all within a 40 pounds)

I'd say go with the mustang LX and swap in a 5.0 V8. Better yet, find a cheap one with a V8 already in there, change the heads and put some monster gear in the back. For the money, there's nothing faster.

Old trucks. A mazda, toyota, nissan, even ranger/s10.

Slap a 4g63/sr20det in for some fun, or a 2jz/rb/13b for some serious quick.

You could get the truck for 500-1k, and a whole front clip of the above for maybe 2k?
Do a lil bit of fabbing and wiring, then 4link the rear.
