New service truck we got today
08 F350 4x4, to bad its a 5.4 and not a power stroke like we were suppose to get.

Oh, I figured out what was wrong with it, too. The distributor rotor got all mangled because the parts place gave me one that was too tall. I put in the old one and she purrs like a kitten again... a great big pack of kittens, with megaphones.

lol, so no more bangs through the carb on throttle snaps?
if it starts loading up on you a lot then you will need to replace that power(enrichment) valve
|

No more bangs out the carb, and the accelerator pump is working as it should be (big relief there) and I found out that the carb is a pretty standard 600cfm Holley 4160, so the rebuild kit is about 3 cents.
It still burbles out the tailpipe every so often, especially when giving throttle. We'll see how it is under load, I hope to drive it tomorrow.
