General Domestic Info
I'm bored... figured I'd post up some shit. These aren't all of them, but the most common ones you'll see today. If any1 has any info to add, post it, and I'll add it. I'd add more right now but, it's getting tiring.
Small Block Chevys
265, 283, 302, 305, 327, 350, 400, 403
Big Block Chevys
389, 396, 402, 409, 454, 455, 472, 502, 512, 572
Small Block Fords
256, 260, 272, 281, 289, 302, 312, 351 Windsor/Modified
Mid Block Fords
351 Cleveland (2 valve and 4 valve), 400 (Was available with big block bellhousing pattern, small block bellhousing pattern, and from what I've read, some were made with small and big block bellhousing patterns.)
Big Block Fords
390, 427 Side-oiler/Cobra Jet, 428 Cobra Jet, 429 Cobra Jet, 429 Boss, 460
Small Block Dodges
273, 318, 335, 340, 345, 354 Hemi, 360, 370, 383 (My Mopar knowledge is limited)
Big Block Dodges
383, 392 (50's), 400, 413, 426 Hemi/Max Wedge, 440 Max Wedge
Chevy Auto Transmissions
200-R4, 700-R4, 4L80E, 4L85, Turbo Hydramatic 350, Turbo Hydramatic 400, Powerglide
Chevy Manual Transmissions
Saginaw, Muncie, Hurst
Ford Auto Transmissions
C-4, C-6, aol4e metric tranny (fwd)
Ford Manual Transmissions
T-5, Tremec 3650, T-56
Limited Slip Differential -- LSD
If one wheel is spinning, the torque will be transferred to the other wheel, until traction is found.
Locker (Conventional, and Air)
Locks both axleshafts together so they both spin no matter what. Both wheels will spin at the same speed, no matter what. Not exactly the best idea for a daily driver. If you own a 4x4 and like to go mudding a locker is a must. An Air locker does the same thing as a conventional locker, but can be turned on and off. Most aftermarket lockers come with small air pumps to power them.
Ford Solid Axles
7.5", 8.8", 9"
Chevy Solid Axles
10 Bolt, 12 Bolt, 14 Bolt (GM and Corporate), Spicer
Dodge Solid Axles
8 3/4, Dana 44, Dana 60 (9 3/4"?)

The only time Chevy called the 400 a big block was in 70 & 71, and it came mostly in Chevelles. It was actually a 396 bored .010 oversized

There is no Ford big block 429 Hemi as stated in your write up, lol. What's the use of this information anyways?

I was bored, it's basic info, it might help some1. What's the big deal?
Ford did make a 429 Hemi... Boss 429 ring any bells? Everybody didn't call it the 429 Hemi, but it was in fact a Hemi.
And just in case you're not gonna look it up and prove yourself wrong, I did it for you, just in case by some chance I was in fact wrong.

I don't honestly know, as you can tell transmissions aren't exactly my strong point
