a friend of mine has 1 yellow line, but it's an IBM thinkpad. get used to it, it's not going away. if you're still under warranty, try to get it fixed.

if its less than 1 yr old, you can ship it back to dell for fixing. if not i hope you bought warranty.
if no warranty, you can prolly try lookin at replacing just the screen.

Every time that a line shows on a laptop monitor, its either the video converter or the lcd monitor itself

Also lines in the LCD monitor can be caused by applying pressure to it, like someone pushing the monitor with its finger or messing with it, does anybody uses the laptop that is not you ?

Model would help. Sound like your going to have to replace it. And we'll help you get a replacement.
One trick with things like this is right before your warranty expires call them and say it broke. Send me a new one.
