Question Question On home networking PLEASE HELP

I jsut recently got a new computer in my room additional to the one with internet access I already have in here. Now the question I have is how can I add internet access to the new computer I have recently added in my room. Right now im running a wired netwrok from the living room to 2 other rooms. I know I can just run another ethernet cable fromthe router in the living room to my room again. But I was wondering is there another easier way considering there is one ethernet cable already being ran into my room from the router? Is there someway I can share the internet connection from my computer to the new one? If so please any suggestions thank you

Have you thought about hooking it up wireless? if the router has wireless capabilities then all you need is a wireless card for your computer and you are online no wire to worry about. I also dont know if you can put a splitter on that one line and connect two comps i dont think its wise. If you have a wire already there use it if its not in use if it is in use you may have to run a new one and hook up to the router.

buy a hub.

plug your line into the hub.

run a line from one port on the hub to one of the computers. run another line from another port on the hub to the other computer.

Get a switch for your room.

Switch is beeter so you can get good tranfer rate. where a hub it give you what ever it gives you.

why not run a hardline through your attic and make a cat5e jack in your room with the new computer. I did my whole house that way. It works great. If you decide to do that I can give u some tips on running the wire.
