This could very well mean that Sony is still able to meet its "Spring 2006" launch in at least one territory (assuming Spring ends on 21 June).

I know it might seem a little harsh to say it that way but they couldn't make enough units to meet their preorders back in November/December my best friend knows this girl that pre ordered and ended up on a waiting list and didn't get her 360 till January so Microsoft really dropped the ball on this one and hopefully Sony will at least make enough once they get this blu ray thing worked out

Yeah right! I had to wait a good 6 months until I could find a PS2 in stock.
Sony should really make the blu-ray thing an expansion. It's new technology that's really going to hike up the price not to mention the tech. won't really impact mass media for a few years.

I agree.. Its a good marketing tool for them also. Then when they release the 2nd gen ps3 (like they did with 1 and 2) the can incorporate blu-ray in that release.

apparently a sony representative came into our work a few days ago, and she talked to one of my buddies, and she told him that it was going to be priced to beat xbox 360, so anywhere from 299 to 350. i was like wtf? i thought it had to be at least 5 or 600. but again these are all rumors until we get an official word.

it's basically a third person shooter/rpg. All of the gameplay is TPS I believe though.

figures it was going to be delayed. considering there were no games announced for the japanese launch window, should come at no surprise. it does make things interesting though for the christmas season.... both nintendo and sony will be releasing their respective consoles around the same time.
