why do I still pay for FFXI? - Tuner-Junction

anyone else play Final Fantasy XI? I've been playing for about a year and a half now, but I really dont play that often. I might sit down and play for a few hours like, three days out of a month.

So basically it's me paying $13/month for nothing really... I dont feel that I get enough out of it... I mean, $13/month really isn't jack shit, but it's more the principle of the thing.

So basically my dilemma is this... every time I go to cancel my membership, I think to myself... "This is a fun game, and I enjoy it... If I cancel, I won't be able to play again, and will probably lose all that character information, should I decide to re-join".

Then it's like I talk myself out of cancelling the shit, and continue paying my $13/month for something I dont use at all really. Shit, there's been like, whole month spans where I wouldn't log in at all...

So if I cancel, I'll lose my character information and all I've worked towards in the game... They keep it for three months or something like that, but I probably wouldn't sign up again in that time, so goodbye character.

I'm hoping the new expansion will re-ignite my interest in the game... and make me play more.

Maybe someone can give me a reason to cancel???

Hopefully this extended wait for FFXII will be better.

ive been playing for almost 3 years... i go through stretches like that once in a while... where i just need to take a break for a month... i say wait up for the new expansion... there will be a whole new world for us to enjoy...

I thought FFXI was a very well done game, and is a lot of fun to play. I just dont seem to have hours to devote to it... there's guys in my linkshell that seem to get like, a level or two every day, and are always online, playing... I dont fucking understand where they find the time for that shit. I mean, dont most people have work or school or other shit to do?? apparantly not.

but still... I think I'll stick it out and wait for the next expansion... dick around with that, and then see if it's worth keeping.

Hey, TSX Mike, what server are you on? I've been thinking about switching, the server I'm on sucks.

this is the first and only online FF game... pay a monthly subscription to play online with others around the world.

It's similar to other FF games, but pretty different at the same time... picture Everquest or World of Warcraft or Guild Wars presented in a Final Fantasy style package. so it's pretty cool in it's own right.

i need to find the gilsellers LS... just cause I dont wanna spend time making money... I'd rather just buy it, and, at least on Hades server, it's cheaper if you buy it from the LS that makes it rather than through a website. And I keep hearing I dont get to keep my 2 million gil if I switch servers, so I'm gonna have to buy a bunch of expensive crap before I switch.

and yeah, hook me up with a worldpass....

after EQ I sjust can't find the time for those games to have the fun I want

back in the PoP days I had a shadowknight level 65 full time gear'd with like 650aa's ROFL I was one of those guys that just played day in and day out

I have a car, job, and girls now and a lot more friends so time for that is next to none... let alone homework workload this sememter is killing me

TSX_mike, I started new character on Diabolos last night... a taru I called Shadowbroker. pissed me off I had to start a new guy... but whatever, it'll work.

my last guy was a Hume... and I started out doing war/mnk, but then I switched to whm/blm combo... he was just okay at the whm/blm... so I figured this time around I'd just start out with the taru as whm/blm...
