im having an image problem
for some odd reason every .gif file that i have on my PC has suddenly turned into a .bmp. im trying to upload an avatar here but it doesnt move and i check it on my pc and its a bmp then i resave the file as a .gif and the computer automatically makes it a .bmp
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

can you try and retag it as a gif? like rename it and put .gif
could be a virus thats doing it. i had one years ago that turned every mp3 i had into jpg files.

tools > Options > make sure "for the originating website only" is unchecked
|

1) Right click select open with Paint
2) While in paint slect file > Save as
3) On the file type select .gif as save type and type in the file name u want to save it as.

like the file is already on my computer but my computer changed it to a .bmp.

okay...... im stupid... i didnt have the .gif files opening with the right program..and also we cant have animated avatars and i didnt know this so it just added to my confusion.
anyway i got the problem fixed... thansk for all the helps guys
