crx with an 1/2 inch of water

Hey guys.. Its been raining here for 3 days now, I just went out to the crx to get out my flashlight and tire pressure guage and noticed there is a 1/2 inch of water on the rear passengers side floorboard and the carpet is all wet in the front

My rex has a sunroof, I was wondering if maybe the drain tubes for the sunroof were pluged so all the water was overflowing into the car.

Only thing is the drivers side is not wet and the seats, dash and doorpanels arnt wet, only the passengers floorboard.

I was planing on getting a sunroof plug when I got some extra cash but I cant have water standing on the floorboard or its going to start rotting out my carpet and floorboard, I'll get the wet vac out tommarow to get all the water out.

Yeah...I would guess sunroof as well. There are 4 drain tubes, one at each corner of the sunroof base assembly panel so it could just be the right side leaking. Good luck to ya and keep her covered in the mean time.

For some reason i'm doubting its the sunroof. If those tubes backed up you could roll the sunroof back and the lower pan would be full of water, not to mention your headliner and sunroof inner panel would be wet where it was leaking in, and it would be all over the ebrake / inner seat area. Just my .02 but unfortunately i haven't decided where i think it's coming in yet.

It could be the rear hatch seal. Lots of them leak around the top edges/liftposts. If it was leaking slightly and allowing water to flow down inside the B-pillar, it could run down and fill the floorboards.

Once you get it all dry, have a friend sit inside the car and you soak the hell out of all the seals/joints/seams from outside while they watch/feel for water or wetness.

/2cents

PS: Hey Russ, that sunroof working out for you? Sorry I didn't get back to you about the top, I want it, just have to find time to get out there lol.

Took me a few minutes to locate too actually. Rather than Tailgate it's actually under "Rear Panel Lining".
Product # 86058
Illust. # 001
'weatherstrip - tailgate'
$60.95
