"blowed motor" rebuild time. Parts online and B18c5 parts what to get for B18c?
I have not been on here in quite some time. Personal life has been way too hellish and work had been mega busy. FINALLY put my modded B18c up on the engine stand and with my friend's major wrenching and my minor help took the motor apart. Yep, metal in the oil pan. Damage assessment. Spun two rod bearing, crankshaft is a goner at least for track work it is. Soooo, new road bearings, main bearings, rings, crankshaft, valve guides, oil pump, water pump, etc. ad nauseum. Three questions.
1. Where do you buy acura parts online? I have a new computer because my old one died and my favorites died with it. I forgot which online acura dealer I used.
2. Since my motor is B18c therefore jdm, do I just look up B18c5 "ARRRRGGHHH" motor stuff and buy that? Right.
3. I have a Kenji wiring harness and it does not look like the most spiffy product. Any better out there?
4. Damn yep a fourth question. I have 88 CRX with a B18c with a type r tranny. I have 92 teg knuckles/axles. To buy new axles don't I purchase 2nd gen. (92) teg axles? Thanks.
jadkar how did you brakes/hubs work out?

1. I think this is the site my brother ordered stuff from for his GSR: Acura Parts @ AcuraAutomotiveParts.org - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Acura Carland He's not home right now though so i'm not sure.
2. Yep, 98-00 Integra Type R parts. A lot of stuff is the same as a B16/B18C1 also but it takes research to figure out what is what.
3. I really like the stuff i got from rywire ( www.rywire.com), I only have a obd 0 -> obd1 jumper harness though.
4. I think that's correct but someone else would have to confirm it.
Hmm.. new crankshaft eh. Could always put the LS crank in there and get a little more stroke?

My fast brake 11" kit is great. Paired up with the 1/16 MC I have no complaints. I'm running the slotted rotors rather then the cross drilled and I'm sure you would do the same. i would highly recommend the front and rear kit. Brian from Fast Brakes is a little hard to get a hold of though.

Can anyone confirm that the USDM type r rods have the same part number as the JDM B18c? If so then I know where to get a set? If they aren't the same part number then does anyone know what the correct part number is?
