My very own CRX resource
Hey everybody, I've started a crx-specific blog. I'm basically tired of looking for certain information (whatever it is at the moment) on forums and coming up short, or being stuck on a website with so many categories to go through it's silly. I'm going to put up an article each week, and anybody who's interested, please subscribe (or at least check it out)!

I just put up the first actual post. Leave comments over there on what you'd like to hear about.
I also buy a lot of stuff from Amazon (their prices rock ebay's out the door) so any links you click on from within my site give me a (very) small kickback. I'm keeping everything limited to items I either own or plan to buy, and the kickback is really just to help pay for the costs of maintenance. Thanks for the support, dudes! I promise to deliver nothing but solid content for you.
Expect weekly (once per weekend) updates, but I might throw in a few "bonus" posts between weekdays.
*EDIT* I have just fixed the RSS feeds so they work properly now. Unfortunately, it means you may need to re-subscribe using the fixed link.

I'm working on fixing the link. For today, it's just a text link on the right that says "SUBSCRIBE via RSS". Because it's RSS (which is super-advanced "internet" technology), Microsoft's Internet Explorer just can't handle subscriptions. You'll really want firefox (not just because it's infinitely better than IE, but because it lets you subscribe via rss to my site!). That way you get a special RSS icon in your address bar when RSS is available. You don't even have to go looking for a link!

Although I've sold my rex, I'm going to keep the site up until I run out of things to write about. I appreciate everybody keeping up with it, and if there's anyone out there who'd like to take over when I'm gone, it'd be appreciated.

Well, damn. It looks like projectcrx is starting to get popular. I checked my stats for the first time since I started it and found:
I guess it's fair to say that the site's popular enough to keep it going. Looks like I'm in the market for another CRX, and I'll probably end up doing a full restore (I'm looking over at YOU, Jadkar) for my daily driver / weekend autox machine. Depending on what class it's going to drop me into, I'm starting with gutting, then tires, then suspension, then possibly a d16y8 engine (steering clear of b-series for now, I believe it'll put me into a noncompetitive class that'll just walk all over me).
We'll see what kind of deals I come up with, but for now I'm looking for a barebones shell that hopefully runs (I don't have a grocery-getter at the moment) but even if it doesn't, I know the CRX well enough now that I could get it back to streetable with half a paycheck and a weekend off from work.
I'd really like to thank everyone for supporting the site and visiting every now and again. I'd also like to thank you guys for giving suggestions and even articles (looking at you, Bam) from time to time and contributing in your own ways. Also, a big thanks goes out to Jadkar for giving me something to strive for in the first place (I had no idea what a clean build was until I saw his car). It's kind of sad because I've hardly met any of you in person, but I definitely would not be who I am today without you guys.
Anyway, more shameless plugs:

I'm doing a one-week-special on the 1st-gen! Still slots open for articles, so make your suggestions now here:

It's a tough one to figure out. I use gmail, and I use the same name for everything. So, the programming definition would be something like:
Code:
email = $username + @gmail.com

Jadkar (John, to some of you) was nice enough to answer some questions for me that I had been wondering for some time now. Most are directly related to his personal CRX history, so if anyone's interested in a bit of a history lesson, head on over here:

Thanks again, John!
