88 rex is on new wheels!
So I've been busy with my new set of wheels. Built it in September and haven't really stopped riding since. Thought it would be cheaper than cars (not quite), but it has definitely helped me get in shape. I'm hoping to race in a "local" series next year, so I'll be busy all winter getting ready. Wish I had started this a LONG time ago.
Frame: Litech 17"
Crank: Race Face Forged Turbine 180mm (ISIS)
Ring: Surly 34t single speed with Kooka guard
BB: FSA Megaquad pro platinum
Chain Retention: N-gear jumpstop
Chain: SRAM 951
Cassette: SRAM 11-34
Rear derailleur: SRAM X7
Shifter: X7
Brakes: Avid SD 5 V brakes
Front wheel: Mavic X717 with DT swiss double butted spokes and XT hub
Rear: Mavic X221 with LX hub
Tires: Panaracer Fire XC Pro 2.1
Fork : DART3 w/poploc 100mm
Handle bars: Sette XLR 25.4
Stem: Sette edge 100mm with 6degree (inverted)
Headset: Cane Creek S3
Grips: Bar tape
Seat post: Sette alloy APX 30.9 x 400
Saddle: Sette IXA Gel
Pedals: Shimano M520
To keep this CRX related. I need a bike rack for the CRX. I have one for the Jeep, but sometimes I'd like to go straight from work with the CRX and the bike to ride some trails. You guys have any recommendations? I very much prefer something on the roof like Yakima or Thule, but I have never seen one mounted on a CRX and don't even know where to start.
Thanks!

Yea, there nice also. I borrow a friends whenever we hit the roads, but despite all the "biker friendly" roads around here I still hear too many stories about accidents. If I hit a tree it's my fault
Any ideas for racks?

When I was younger we would do dirt jumps and flatland stuff. Loved it until my bike got stolen. I'm considering converting my current mountain bike to singlespeed so that should bring back a little of the "feel" of the BMX. You should ride again! There is never too fat to ride and besides after awhile you won't be fat.

Would you believe I had a bad ass Thule rack for my CRX with the correct foot kit and and all. I spent big money on that rack and when I moved into my new house I tossed it in the garbage because I had no idea when my car was ever gonna be on the road again........ stupid!!!
