Tim's new build thread....
well i got some good news. i just got accepted for my 5000$ line of credit, and a credit card. but i WILL be warry bout what i spend it on and how i spend it. starting slow and paying it off each bit.
so with that in mind, thank you 88crxsi, i am going to purchase new 1/4 weld in panels soon. gonna do some body work to her. then believe it or not, do the $50 paint job lol. i know i know what you guys are thinking. but hey...its a start.
after the body work, i'll do a custom exhaust and order a set of DC sports headers.
then onto a carbon fiber hood, and then onto a front lip.
then i'll be done. no more mods to my car. i already have the brakes, suspension, wheels and tires done.
wish me luck. hopefully i'll have pics up and going.

UPDATE #2!!!
i went to the other partsource and i just bought myself some new axles, both came out to 366.28$.
i also went to the body shops and got qoutes. percival ford (the one i worked at), qouted me 2800$ for metal work and bondo. i said screw that noise. but the guy that new me and gave me an estimate told me to go to this other place and i can definately get it cheaper and they do awesome work there.
so i go to the place and they looked at it and they said 8-900$ with out paint. 1500$ with paint. sooooo its kinda touch and go.
do i wanna do a paint job on it. or...should i do that 50$ paint job myself. options are still up in the air.
so all in all. i'll hopefully have my axles in and my custom exhaust done before i do my road trip to winnipeg for my nieces grad. then after that. get right on the body work.
cant wait!
POOCH: no thanx haha i wanna go custom and i love the deeeep sound of the magnaflow!

update #6 (with pics!!!)
well i took my vacation to winnipeg. drove my car 550kms one way, drove it around the city with out any probs.
started to head back home to my city, and 200kms out of my city the axles started to knock.. even just slightly pressing on the gas! but it doesnt knock when i let off the gas. hmmm weird..
also i just got my new magnaflow tip! and it is HUGE....too big if you ask me. just worried it'll look rice i dunno, we'll see what happens. cause i do want my car's exhaust to look stock haha. anyways.....here's pics!
i'm still waiting on the muffler, caty and the headers!, its been 2 weeks now and i dunno whats taking soo long .
my axles are prolly going to be getting fixed tomorrow afternoon too! and then starting next tues. my car is going in for body and paint for sure

The good, the Bad, the ugly...........
update #7
well i have some really good news and well.....some rather unfortunate news but it'll be good none the less!
the GOOD news well.....see for yourself.
my magnaflow muffler came in its sooo nice! hehe.
my car also went in for body work today too!!!
the BAD and UGLY news.....see for yourself....again..
and thats the right side...>< they also said the rocker panels are completely rusted out. so they're gonna get new ones haha..
i'm just waiting to see what the left side is like cause thats the side where it got smashed in and made it a total loss vehicle.
but it's all good! cause the guy is a good body worker and it'll be mint when its done. more pics tomorrow of the body work!

update #8:
another ugly update. went and checked out the car well. they took off the rear bumper, the whole bumper support is rusted. the inner fender wheel well is starting to rust there is a big hole in it. bottom line........... my car is a rust bucket! anyways i took more pics.
they also welded in the new 1/4 panels too.
as you can see the whole rear bumper support is rusted. but it'll be fine till i can find another one.
my caty converter also came in. but i think its the wrong one. its the OBD-2 caty converter but i 'm pretty sure i can make it work.
EDIT: no no i'm wrong, its the right one hahahaha.
its sooo funny. cause i'm being silly and putting my mouth up to each magnaflow item and going BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh lol making it sound like an exhaust sound lmao

hey dude....don't worry about the rear bumper support. They all look like that, mine looked like it was on the deck of the Titanic when it went down!!
It looks like they're doing a good job though, I want to see it sanded and primed.

FINALLY SOME COMMENTS!!!!!!! thank you! hahahah
ya i know its all good, i can get a new used one for 100$
they'll be doing grinding, cutting, welding for each part of the car. then when its all put together they'll prolly start with the bondo work and primer then paint.
dont worry i have been going there everyday after work, taking pics with my cam. kinda gets the idea that i'm taking the pics for insurance purposes lolol. but its just progress pics for you guys on here
i think it'll be like another week and a half before its all done.
this fri my DC sports headers will probably hopefully get in. i'll be taking pics of that too

update #9:
well today was a good day.
i went to the body shop and they started doing the rocker panels, starting to look good actually, cant believe how much rust is on there.
here is a pic where you can see the old rocker panel and the new one next to it, the guy thats sitting is the one thats doing the body work on her.
here's a pic of the door skin. they'll have to actually take off the whole skin to fix it.
another pic of the door, but a shot of the rocker panels as well too.
this is a pic of where the guy who actually tried to do body work on her, you can see the huge gap between my 1/4 panel and my door itself! CRAZY!
almost a same shot, you can see the 1/4" gap in it! (that guy should be shot!)
here's what i did over the weekend! i took out my interior center consol and my heater vents and re-painted them black! (not too bad if i say so myself)
YAY!! my new blox bronze shift knob came in! HOLY POOP this thing is HEAVY!!!
another item that came (its ok HOYOUNG!! i have it now!!) is my front side sill panel, the one that goes in behind the mud guard. on the fender.
and thats it for now. more pics tomorrow folks!
EDIT: also forgot to say that you can see my old shift knob (silver) i sanded it down somewhat to make it rough and i'm gonna try and paint it, that prismatic gold/magneta color (shifting color) so i'll take pics of that too!

just finished painting my shift knob, still wanna add on like 10 more coats of clear though lol here is the knob so far.
i figure, since i have my new bronze one, i might as well have fun with the old one. it sucks that the shifting color has magneta (purple) in it. was kinda wanting red haha
