small update:
went there and i brought both shift knobs with me and took pics.
first knob i put on was the shifting color one
then the bronze one.
also when i got there, the door was off and he had already done the lower door panel.
so now they said that they wanna get me fenders and just do a complete paint job on her. top to bottom. if they can get me the fenders for 300$ for the pair, then they can do it all complete for 3100$. not too shabby. they boss also said that they lowered the hourly rate on it. mainly cause they're good friends with my other boss that i work for haha.
they didnt raise the price on the car cause of the rust. they knew for a fact that there was gonna be that much. so they knew what to expect.
its gonna be real slow for the next couple of days cause the welder is taking time off for tomorrow till tues. and if it starts to rain on tues. then he'll be coming back. if it doesnt rain then he'll be staying till fri. and we'll finish it all on the following week.
they said they could prep the car for paint on the one side so then i can drive it around and then i plan on getting my exhaust put on and maybe even a new brake system.

july 12th and 13th
another small update:
went to the body shop yesterday and today. one of the guys started on the bondo work.
this was taken from yesterdays visit. not too shabby. its a start, shit load of bondo on there, but it was waaaaaaaaay better then what it used to have!
then i went there today, and its starting to shape up nicely.
so all in all its coming out nicely! lots more sanding and grinding to do.
providing it rains next week monday and tuesday ( i hope) then the guy cant go on his trip and he'll have to work on my car lol. next week they'll start on the other side of the car.
dont worry bout not having pics on this thread. i'm at the body shop every single day to take pics haha. i hope they're not getting sick of me.

welp. went to the body shop and i took 1 pic of the door, they got it primered. they're gonna sand it down.
this week is gonna be a slow one, like i said the welder is on holidays.
another good thing is my new fenders came in. pre primered and direct fit.
and i checked on my headers. and they're STILL NOT IN!!!! i'm getting mad. and i ordered them JUNE 16TH!!!!!!! GAH!
oh well at least i get a loaner car this week haha.

went there today:
here's a pic of the fender off (yes i know my engine is dirtier than carrot tops mom)
a pic of the door actually on, they even volunteered and fixed my door hinges by adding weld and stuff.
WOOT! NEW FENDERS!!!!!!
and a pic of the side of the car.
slowly but surely it'll be done. the one thing i didnt like is they didnt take out the windows but thats another job and a half to do, ($60 per window to take out)
next week will be a big week. the welder is back.
EDIT: on the LAST pic, you can see how many damn paint jobs this car had! from the metal is goes: base, clear, base, clear, base, clear, primer, base, primer, base, clear >< man that this is in rough shape

holy update batman! lol
well i went to the shop and they started on the other side today. let me tell you guys i was in awe!
went to the side of the car. (and i knew it was going to be bad, i just had this feeling) and seen this:
HOLY BONDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this side was definately worse than the otherside! i could not believe it!
these next few pics were taken by my digi cam! (cause before my pics were taken by my camera phone lol
here's a pic where the stupid guy layed bondo over paint
and heres a pic from the digi cam of the other side (just cause it looks nice) =)
AND!!!!!!!!!!!! THE PART what i have been waiting for.....
MY HEADERS ARE IN!!!!!! YAY!!!!! lolol
DC sports 4-2-1 ceramic headers. mmmmm sexy (2 months of waiting for them)
EDIT: i'm actually KINDA thankfull that it had bondo where you see some of the rusty spot. cause it had a big crack of bondo there. and water was getting in. thank fully not letting it rust anymore than it should.

ahhhhh ya....sorry there is lots of updates...you guys dont post and tell me that your following them though. now i know hehe...here's the updates you guys missed.
awesome update:
went to the shop again today, took at look at the car and there should have not been so much bondo on that thing:
i think who ever was laying the bondo, was a noob and probably getting taught or something.
the panel is hardly pushed in, so they dont have to do that much pulling out.
and the front of the car:

misha and I went and checked out the car, i think he was getting a little weak at the knees when he seen it, whimpering like a lil puppy dog. lolol anyways. they cut out that nasty rust.
here's the main welder/cutter bob (bob the builder lets say)
looks pretty good for a condition.
i also took a shot of the DIRTY engine bay! but thats just from the sanding and shit!
anyways. more updates tomorrow, the new patch panels will be welded in. so i'll be taking more pics!
i'm waaaaaaaaay too impatient for this car to be done! lol i want her back so bad!

update:
alright finally an update..things have been going slow, i dont have an estimate time on when its going to be done.
i got a few more things for the car, i bought misha's stock honda wheel, along with one of his front lip. also bought a new sunroof and rear bumper support from a very nice guy from edmonton, thanx greg for being a nice and cool dude! sunroof and support should be here today.
anyways went to the shop the other day. i think most of the welding is done, thats the biggest thing to get over i guess, so its all down hill from here.
the door thats been fixed, welded and bondo'd
1/4 already started bondo'd
the inside of my car!!!!! dirrrrrrrrrrrrty!. i hope they will vacuum it out!??
i know there is alot of bondo...but i guess you cant do much about that. really anxious to get the exhaust up and going though.
as always, i'll keep ya guys posted.

the owner says he'll hopefully have it painted by next week!!!

I just went through a lot of what you're dealing with here. Instead of taking it to a shop, though, I just had a bunch of friends come over and we got pretty much everything done in a week. It wasn't too bad. Now I'm planning to move out to either AZ or CA for the new year, so I'm debating selling my rust-free crx shell here and just getting a new one when I'm out west or driving my current rex out there and rock the east-coast style on the west.
As far as the bondo goes, you have less on there now than it did from the factory. In the early 90's honda kinda went nuts with getting styling right, and because of that you'll find that there's a skim-coat (or three) on every roof and around every gas slot cover on civics, accords, and crx's. Acura followed suit but not to the same extreme. Every Integra that I've done body work on has been mild on the fiberglass, but the metalwork is a little more closely lined up. Look at any Civic out there from the early 90's. Chances are that you'll see that the bumper covers don't line up properly.
You're definitely getting some good work done, it just sucks that they're taking so long.

wow man, i envy you. i would kill to have it done in a week lolol ......just i dont have the tools, time or space to do it. ya i couldnt believe the amount of bondo on that car, it was rediculous. but its all better now. i'm just waiting to see whats going to happen in a couple of yrs. all this money put into it.....
well i just hope that it'll be in for paint late next week. the car started at the front of the shop, went to the back of the shop. now its going to the front of the shop (where apparently all the word gets done) lol.
all they have left now is the door, and 1/4 panel, scuffing and grinding more down on the hood, install the new sunroof, new fenders, prime then paint.
