picture of the underside? Just want to see the webbing.
I'd say talk to the body shop and see if they can paint it semi-clear style. I don't think the contrast between black/green will look great but I also hate to cover up the bling of CF.
Edit: Didn't realize you got the CF hood too. With that much carbon fiber i think it'll look decent painted or unpainted. Sorry, i'm no help

I love the look of that sunroof. Where did it come from? (Sorry if it was stated, the site is being slow for me, and I'm having a hard time getting to page 1)
Oh, and 88crxSi, if you really want to sell your sunroof panel for a reasonable amount, let me know.

No it's carbon (without the fiber) I guess. But it only weighs 4.8 lbs

Do you plan to install the panel soon or are you waiting and doing everything at once. Im really kindof excited about this, so im anxious to see if it fits snug, and i'm going to order one.

Same thing, if it fits good I might order one too, both my sunroofs are crap (peeling paint, dents, rust...etc) and I would like to replace them before I get the car painted.

Yeah, I'm doing it all at once. Unfortunatly the fenders aren't in for another 4 weeks too, so it may be a while. I deceided on my paint theme too; both sunroof and hood will be painted except on the hood I'm going to mask off the "H" badge so that will be the only hint that it is carbon fiber. The best part about the sunroof, Nick and I were discussing, is that it will never rust. Plus it's only another $15 over OEM... so why the hell wouldn't you?

Looks real nice!!!
To answer you're question, "why wouldn't you buy it?". For me it was because I only wanted my hood to me showing carbon fiber and if I bought the sunroof I would have to paint it. Problem is painted carbon fiber sometimes looks funky and I didn't want my sunroof panel to look strange. I figured if it did look funny it would stick out like a sore thumb.
I am very interested in seeing what yours looks like though.

Would you suggest not painting the hood? I don't want to risk it looking like crap... This stuff ain't cheap.

I've seen painted CF hoods that I couldn't tell were CF. Looked completely stock.

I hope he does his research on local painters first.

Yeah, the problem is depending on the top coat on the carbon fiber panel sometimes the paint bleeds through a bit and you can see the weave through the paint. Not really the color but almost the checkered pattern becomes apparent.

Take a look at this photo of a painted carbon fiber hood.
The painted hood shows the carbon fiber "waviness" and it also draws atention to the hoods slight bad fit (inherent on ALL carbon fiber CRX hoods).

Alright, I don't think I'll be painting the whole thing. It just seems like too much of a risk. A nice medium would be painting the sides (leaving the extruded part CF), however I've never seen it on a CRX and afraid of the rice effect... I think I'll just make a poll.

Out of everything I would say to leave the hood, it does get a slight effect of riciness off, but honestly it isn't all that bad.
I would say to paint the sunroof though, cause I think it would sort of stick out like a sore thumb if not, though a bad paint job would as well.
