have to get the final pieces Then I promise to start a build thread.
There is a shop in tennesee that will balance the rotating assembly to within .5 gram. Thinking about having the crank knifeedged, polished, and have the entire assembly balanced.
GUDE p&p/milled head
GUDE Race cam(8600 rpm)
skunk2 Intake manifold
GUDE ported TB
SRP forged 9.8:1 comp pistons(with the head, the static CR is 12.5:1)
Crower Billet rods
ARP studs
ACT streetlite flywheel and stage 3 clutch
I'm about $1300 in parts away from starting the build. Wish me luck hehe

Which one are you getting now? I still have the stock one lying around if you are trying to go heavier.

i highly doubt it myself. would be nice though lol. Man.. so close yet so far away.. lol
I was wondering earlier.. Is there some horribly gruesome reason that D series haven't been built to handle 10k rpm's? Do they sling themselves apart or what? I was thinking about finding/making a stud girdle, and doing dual valvesprings, and a block guard and trying for 10k.... Any reason this wouldn't work?

Smooth idle
I like my prolite, but I would take a look at Clutchmasters/Fidanza flywheels also. Maybe even comptech too, if they do in fact continue to make them. The CM/Fidanza/Comptech flywheels are all about 8 lbs also, but they have a replacable friction surface.
Couple options there, but I think Prolite is the cheapest.
