OK.... I just got off the phone with Frank at DSS. I'm going to be buying his Stage 0 axles. He advertises it as a "non race" axles, however he claims it's much stronger than other guys "Stage II" setups. For an extra hundred he even gonna prepare them for road racing. It's pretty cool he uses a boot which is much better for constant turning abuse as well ad a different type of high temp grease.

So it looks like 299- for the pair plus another 100- for the road race prep,

Interesting stuff. I had never heard of the gator axles, thats why I did some research, but I know the DSS level 2.9 are like 750 bucks, ouch. But I have never heard horror stories about them breaking....you get what you pay for. Thats a nice deal hes giving you for that setup, especially him suggesting a less exspensive alternative, sounds like a good guy, let us know how it turns out.
