Dome Light
How would I go about trouble shooting why my dome light doesn't work? The only thing I've done is tried a new bulb. The contacts that hold the bulb in place looked a little corroded, I think I'll hit them with some sandpaper next. Any other thoughts?

a very common problem with hondas made in the early 90s is the door pins go bad. you can get them from a local honda dealership.. I think they are really cheap like $5 each

I've also been having issues with my dome light, especially when I'm on the freeway or going at higher speeds it tends to go on and off out of nowhere (I know both my doors are tightly shut).
At this point I just leave it completely off so it doesn't do that, is that because of the door pins? If so could you explain how to replace/repair it.

if you look at the door pin its just a phillips screw holding it in. really simple to replace

See if your door switches are corroded. Mine were, this caused the dome light to work sporatically. Clean them off with a file or sandpaper.

would the old door pins still possibly be the problem if the dome light doesn't work even in the "on" position?

if its in the on position then its not the door pins. they only work when the switch is in the "middle" thats when the door pins matter. Maybe a relay or a fuse is out or the connectors for the lil bulb in it are corroded and need cleaning.
