i REALLY hate winter sooo much :( :( :(
well on my way to work i was passing a scene of an accident, i looked over and this guys whole back in is pushed in. so i laughed to myself and said oh man thats fucking gotta suck. 2 seconds right after that i hear a BUK or a loud POP!
i look in the rear view mirror and my back window is cracked all to hell completely. and you can still hear the cracking going even more.
of course i yell out "SON OF A ------" . but i did get off lucky. the whole window is still in tacked. you cant even see the cracks on the outside, its just on the inside. and the only thing that is holding the window together is the window tint. so i know someone didnt throw something at the back window cause then you would of seen the cracks on the outside. i think its from the cold, and i did have the rear defroster on too.
welp. time to phone the insurance company to see if i can get one. and how much one is. i dunno how long it'll stay in place though. at least its keeping the snow and cold out of the car.

i wouldn't call the insurance company. You can get a whole hatch from the junkyard pretty cheap and most likely your deductible is more than it'd cost you to do it yourself. My brother put a back window in his Teg for $125 total ($75 for a hatch and $50 to have the glass pulled and installed).

trouble is the crx up here is really rare, let alone be able to find one in a junk yard. otherwise i would do that.

if you do find one. still call your company. what ever you pay will make be taken off your deductible and youll only have to pay what is left for your next accident. lets say you spend 200 and you have a 500 deductible. you get in a accident later all you have to pay is 300.

...and you'll pay for it 5x over in the next 5 years with your insurance rates.
It's not worth it. Fix it yourself. Even with CRX's being rare, there is always some around. Post up on Honda-tech with a WTB or something in the regional classifieds. You'll be surprised. I located 2 windows for my brother's Teg within 24 hours of him getting the car.

HOLY CRAP...did i ever pull a horse shoe out of my ass. well first of all things i checked around to see how much it would cost for a new one, and it would be like 1200$ >< yaaaaaaa not going that route. lol
so i phoned a few places. one tuner shop has a 88' crx as a parts car and just so happend to have a rear hatch with the glass in it.
so i'm buying the hatch for 175$ with the glass. then i'm gonna take it to speedy auto glass and have them switch over the glass from the parts hatch to my hatch. all said and done around 260$ so i'm happy

So I took my car out for the first day in about 2 weeks since it snowed. And I got stuck in the snow. When I said Chicago winters were my favorite, I of course meant they suck ass.
