If anyone is interested, the 240 I raced just got dynoed at 278hp at 14psi, but was running an 8:1 a/f ratio. So he bought a apexi unit and they dialed it in better, and at 12psi he did 299hp and 300ftlbs. Well see how much longer the stock KA block holds up.....

Well tomorrow is the day! After a year of getting everything ready its finally here. 11am Saturday morning my car goes in for dyno tuning. Really cant wait to see the results, I have my hopes of what the finial numbers will be but dont want to speculate too much and be let down. Ill make sure to post my numbers and hopefully get my friends handycam to take some video and post it up. Stay tuned....

I didnt think anyone cared! But actually it didnt get tuned until TODAY! They screwed up the appointment two weeks ago and scheduled it for when the tuner was away in EUROPE. It went good, not as well as it should have. I switched from a chipped ecu to a p28 w/hondata which the tuner did. Previously I was getting two codes one for the map sensor over 11lbs and code 9 for the cylinder position sensor in the dizzy. After two map sensors, two chips and checking and rechecking the wiring I had concluded that it was the ecu causeing the screw up, which ended up being correct. Now with the code 9 I thought the same. Two dizzys and the same two chips and checking the mess out of the obd0-obd1 wiring I figured that it was the ecu again, but it wasnt. With the hondata on there it would throw it into limp mode after 4000rpms with the code 9 so we thought it was a loss. But he tried a few more times and was able to get it past 4000 without the screw up(still with the code tho)So we didnt get to the goal of 18lbs pump gas because he didnt want to push it too far not knowing how that code was going to effect things if it went out again under boost(he was covering his butt) But we did all the partial tuning, driveablity and full throttle up to 13lbs. I must say he did awesome. He has a great rep in Jacksonville, FL. The a/fs at a 12-12.5:1 steady. I have the plx wideband on their which he says is a great wideband but bounce a little, so it bounces between the 12-12.5. Driveablitly was so greatly improved it was amazing I cant belive how much of an improvement it was. That in its self was worth it. But now at 13lbs of boost, we made:

331HP! Which I was happy with at only 13pounds. He was a little bummed and started asking a few questions about the setup and got to the cams(still have the stock b16 cams) and he was like OOOH thats why, he says that with some CTR or the '01+ ITR cams at the SAME boost level he would expect 375-400hp. Which is what my goal was on pump gas. So its within sight. Now this was on a dynamometer(all wheel drive) so on a dynomax the numbers probably would have been closer to 350. Torque was 245, again happy with that at these levels. So cams are a must, but first is getting the code 9 fixed. Any help would be GREAT! Then I can go for a quick retune at higher boost levels. I have some video and will get it up soon as I can. But after the tune the power delivery and spool is sooo much improved, its like a whole new car. I love it!

Random question. Have you thought about reversing the two angle sensor wires? That's a common problem people have. Repin those two wires reverse and see what that does for you.
And good numbers. =) We got something for that ass though
