wtf man...

Aight. So the other day, my differential decided "POW" was fun.

trans is toast.

I figured what the hell, threw down for a zc tranny, halfshaft, teggy axles, and the rest of my rear disc conversion. All is going well and I expect the tranny by the end of next week.

Problem lies here:

Got a spare d16a6. building with eagle rods, arias pistons, ported y8 head, skunk2 valvetrain and intake, billet tb, and hopefully somewhere around 12-14 pounds of boost.

I punch the numbers into injector sizing formula. and get some wacky fucking .. 658 cc injector. now i KNOW thats bullshit. wtf

looking for 320 or so at the ground with a serious tune.

320*.65(roughly) / 4*0.8 = lb/hr *10.5 = cc/min

if you run it straight through the calc, it comes up with 440. which sounds about right. but the formula isn't written for straight through mathmatics. Basically.. i don't want to throw down the $$ for the wrong injectors. someone @#$#@$ doublecheck my math

Dave

you have the equation right, from what i can see. Just remember the hp is BHP which is rated at the crank if i remember right. Add about 15% to your hp figure if you're figuring wheel hp.

Otherwise, it sounds like the equation is right. I'd look around and see what other people have done still but that's a pretty large amount of power and i don't think 440's would support it. Just reading a few threads on honda-tech it sounds like people are maxing around 300 with 450's.
Honda-Tech.com: Anyone here running 300whp+ with 450cc injectors??
Honda-Tech.com: whats the max hp on a 440cc injector *searched*

Bigger injectors aren't more expensive or anything (unless you already have the 440's ) so it's not a big deal.

So anyway. I got to looking around.. running formula's and whatnot. Honestly, I believe i'm going with the 750cc's.

at 43.5(base fuel pressure), not even really pushing the injectors, they can feed 380 or so hp. Which seriously.. for a D series build, thats really pushing it

could go with the 650's and pump the base pressure to around 60 psi. would aid in atomization and probably help it burn a little better, but it would also be stressing the injector slightly as well as raising the temp of the fuel (remember kids, pressure = heat)

So.. 750's for me.. (gawd 72 lb/hr injectors!!! in a honda.. omfg)

If you think 750's on a honda is crazy...theres a guy in NY with 1700's..
I know the last time the car was dynoed..it made 750whp ...and he drives it on the streets..
