so far this week I have spent
$315 - Rent
$300 - car payment
$179 - windshield
$100 - gas for getting back and forth to work in the stang

I thought about it, but with my luck something would be so dry rotted that for some unknown reason it would melt, and with my luck it would be a fuel line

Rednecks make hoods out of plywood don't they? I know I have seen wings done that way. I was going to tell you to buy a tarp until I realized hell you have to drive the thing with no hood.
