JDM SiR headlights?

Ok, well with my first noob post (you guys will love me).

Ok, so I was looking into doing a JDM front end conversion, but more likely it will be piece by piece (front lights, then bumper, then hood...etc).

Now I was looking to do the headlights and the corner lights first, but I had a few questions. Firstly, the jdm corners don't have the blinker light in them, just the parking light, and I really don't want to convert my fenders to add on of the sidemarker, nor do I want to get the JDM fender much either...not too big of a fan of the sidemarker of the CRX, but whatever.

Anyone know if not having a frontal side blinker (the one on your front corner lights) is illegal in the US? I'll probably check with my DMV in the next few days when I pick up my plates, but just checking to see if anyone knows.

Also, does anyone know if the the JDM headlights fit smoothly with the USDM corner lights, if not...it is something I will definately try and let you know.

Oh and lastly...will there be any fitting issues with the JDM hood and bumper? If so, I'll just wait and get the whole conversion at once, but I'd prefer not to.

Thanks, Matt.

Get the whole front end conversion at once. It will make life much easier, especially since they are becoming harder to find anyway.

listen to this man he has been through it several times already. Get all the peices you need and then put them on. so that way you arent caught needing another part and cant put it back together cuz youre missing something. do it right the first time.

the headlights won't fit with the usdm hood/bumper. Not sure if you were thinking about doing that but i figured i'd just say it.

The corner lights are the same size between the usdm/jdm so you can just stick with the usdm ones if you don't want to put the sidemarkers on. I did a DIY a while back on here for putting sidemarkers into a set of usdm fenders and i even have jdm style corners with only 1 bulb and no reflectors.

Pieceing it together is going to be very hard it seems. I know i've been watching for a year now and can't really find any of the pieces individually that cheap. Maybe i'm just not looking hard enough though. They're pretty rare these days and even places like Password are having trouble getting decent ones.

Yeah I know what you mean about the parts, I was planning on doing the bumper and hood as well and have looked at both Jadkar's walkthrough of the front end conversion as well as your diy.

I will probably just collect everything first, get a nice ef8 cf hood, the front bumper and that tie bar/radiator support as well as the rest of the pieces so it all goes smoothly the first time around.

Yeah, this forum seems great, it has a lot of faces from the SHO forum, but it seems to be less stringent on some things a MUCH greater community on things overall, so hopefully I'll be posting here a lot.
