My new Skunk2 for my D16 is a tight fit.
I put my new skunk2 IM for a D16 in my crx this past weekend and had to hammer the firewall in a little to keep the IACV from hitting it at high RPM's. Anyone else have this problem? It still hits a little when i really get on it.
But it runs great!!!

polyeurethane motor mounts ftw! or a traction bar thats attatched to the motor. Or put that window stuff in your stock mounts.

I agree; if it hits under throttle, you need to solidify your mounts.

Thats kind of what I was thinking..."soft motor mounts". I have the polyeurethane inserts but they dont seem to help. Tell me more about the window stuff and where can I get some good aftermarket D16 polyeurethane motor mounts? Thanks guys!

the window stuff... the glue they use to put windshields in, you squirt that stuff into the rubber part of your stock motor mounts. Its between the firmness of the stock setup and poly mounts. Its pretty cheap, you should be able to buy it at any autozone or whatever.
i typed in polyurethane motor mounts civic in froogle, and got a bunch of hits, so just try that. i can seem to link it.

I installed new motor mounts this weekend and the problem is worse. The rear tranny mount was nearly impossible to replace. I am going to have to cut a square piece of rubber to put on the firewall where the IM hits. I don't know of anything else to do. That Skunk2 IM is friggin huge. It has something to do with the engine angle of the D16Z6. There is only 1/4" of clearance.

I have only seen them for late model civics. Has anyone installed one? Do they make them for a CRX?
Right now, I have a piece of rubber between the IM and the firewall...lots of vibration!

Id think it can be universal. It's just a bar from the firewall to the head.

I checked them out online. I may get one. It does look like it goes from the head to the strut tower or to the firewall. Problem is...according to the pic, my fuel rail and pressure guage are in the way and the attachment hole on the head is partially covered by the new IM. Dammit!!!
For now, I have a piece of rubber between the IM and the firewall. It works but the whole car vibrates.
