I'm also very interested in this.
I'm half tempted to hook up a hand-throttle, like we do with Jeeps.

I have a complete cruise control setup in a donor 90' Civic EX sedan. When I say complete, I mean the steering wheel controls, dash buttons, pod light, controls on the signal arm and throttle controller. It would be a bitch to pull . I pulled the PS out and it works great in my CRX. I will sell you the setup if you want. However, I will have to charge labor for the pull . Good luck.

I thought bought doing it when I had a 4dr parts car, but I never did.
Funny part is I did take the steering wheel and I was just thinking this morning on the way into work it would be funny to take pics and tell everyone I had cruise.

i've seen a how to a long time ago. Guy used parts from a EF 4-door EX 5-speed. I want to say he had to transplant the pedal assembly and a whole bunch of other crazy stuff.
I'd love to do this if i could get a steering wheel that didn't look dumb. I hate the EX 4 spoke things.

I think that wheel looks better than the 3 spoke rex wheel

I actually have a cruise control assembly for my CRX. It was a aftermarket kit for a 1989 ford escort that my father-in-law had. He originally bought about 10 years ago for his escort and never installed it. Then he made it work in his crx and removed it from that when he sold the car. Now I have it. Now we can't find the control for it. I've searched all over and can't find this kit anymore. So to make a loooong story short. Yes, it is possible. I would try to find an aftermarket kit for some other model car and make it work. All that's to it is a control that you can mount wherever, an RPM sensor, throttle cable, a vaccum controlled throttle cable, and some vaccum lines. This kit only takes about 2 hours max to install.
