it could be the interior pieces also, is it like a loud squeak when you hit bumps or a constant lite squeak?

Well it is a crx, but you could check to see if it is losse when it is latched, it might help to replace the seal. It is hard to tell with out looking at it in real life

there's a shim bteween the lock-hook and the hatch, sometimes it helps if you remove that... so it's tighter when it's closed...
Didn't work with mine though, so i just taped the hook with ductape, stopped the squeeking completely...

same.
The proper way (i've been told) is to pull the plastics off and readjust the latch assembly. Electrical tape does the same thing though and takes 2 seconds.

I've used electrical tape before. I am currently using hockey tape. It's lasted much longer

When I got my CRX earlier this year, I always wondered why there was twine tied around the U-hook...
I think twine will take care of the problem too
