Is it possilbe to run a obd1 distributer on an obd0 ecu? If I change the connectors at the distributer with an adapter harness will it work with the obd0 ecu?

Well Im in the process of converting to obd1 for tunning purposes, and just wanted to put the parts on as I got them. Also I was happy to see that on the obd1 dizzy the shaft was D shaped so if the retaining screw ever came out it would still spin with the shaft, unlike the dizzy thats on there now(which is round) I have had the screw back out and my car die going down the highway

no, it won't work. I don't know the specifics of it but i just know it won't. obd2/obd1 are similar style (different plugs/wiring) though.

Basically the teeth tell it how many degrees it is. (Where to fire). The 2 have different teeth count, making it fire in the wrong spot
kinda tough to explain, but it won't work

I think I understand what you mean, the obd0 computer will tell it to fire at the wrong time, thanks for the help.

thats exactly it
if you had an aem ecu you can set the tooth count to change it. But I don't think you are going the $1500 ecu route
