Another Crx Dead
So.. fellas.. I have some more bad news.
Thursday morning, around 6:48 am EST. Averritt Express decided that the hatch and rear storage area of my CRX looked like a fucking EXCELLENT place to park a SEMI/Trailer.
Sitting on I20, my roomate looks in the rearview *@#$@#$* SLAM
So, the rear of my car is a foot and such shorter.. the floorpan is completely warped, and the passenger doorjam is smashed up into the door.
I @#$@#$ hate this.. that we are all losing these amazing and agile cars. WTF is with this.. why can't they pick on 240's... there are only like.. 234987239487324987298374982734987239487 of them out there. like 17 crx's left
*cries* I miss my car

yeah.. Thats a good thing.. But still.. my baby is dead =(
One a lighter note. If you have to get hit by a truck.. make it Averritt. They hit me, within 2 hours I had a rental car, and by the end of the day we reached a settlement. I mean.. sucks that they hit me.. but they are on the ball.

*can't keep quiet any longer*
Found one.. mostly unmolested. Needs a new hood and a little paint.
Fresh b16a(Just built, i'm actually helping the guy install it) P&P, 4-2-1 header,
My teg brakes are still good on the other car, so that gets moved over ASAP, the poly bushings as ok, those get moved, the coilovers and struts(rear struts probably no good, but hte rest gets moved over.
Be about time for the oldschool mugen kit, the vis mugen wing replica, tein SS, and some volk te's
So yeah.. some good did come out of it

91 - red(sorry Jad, I know you love the red.. but she will be Gunmetal*SOOOO @#$#@$ HOT*)
And I'm hopeful it's an SI. Couldn't see very well in the garage, his wifey was home, talked to him on the phone(good guy, passion for CRX's) and i friggen' forgot to ask hf, dx, si.
<---- tard
However. with the mods it has.. should be around 150-170 at the ground, which is nice. Follow that with some underdrive pulleys, a lightweight flywheel, stage 2 clutch, a decent intake/tb combo, some ignition assistance(msd or the likes), and a custom 2.25 testpipe/resonator/flowmaster 2 chamber.. and it'll be plenty nice and all.. stealthy like
The stealth doesn't matter.. most people won't race the Rex's anymore out here lol.. everyone's already lost money and/or got torn in half by a swapped CRX monster lol.
The guys and I went for a ride a while back. My si, an 88 dx, an 89 stang, 04 eclipse, and an 01 lude. Ran up on some guys.. they REFUSED to race my 89si or the 88 dx. but swore they would tangle and take anything else we had. Even after i popped the hood. he would touch it.. WTF IS THAT!!!
<3 CRX's, and I'll miss the two we have lost this year... but I can't let that get me down or misdirect me. I have a goal with these cars.. and I will attain it. If it takes me 5 years, I will have the CRX I want.
Jadkar, sir, you are an inspiration to most of us. You came, you saw, you wanted, you did. AMEN.

Gunmetal FTW!!!!!!!
Actually, to be honest I hate red!! Karen and I have owned over 35 cars through the years and for some reason about 15 of them have been red and we hate the color!! We buy cars more for the condition, what the are, and timing in our life. It just so happens our stuff usually ends up red (or black). I just felt when rebuilding the CRX that I would do an injustice painting her a different color then RIO red since I'm the original owner.
My next Rex will be painted a color of my choice, either.....
Monte Carlo blue
Long Beach blue
Monaco blue
or
Silverstone
Those are all NSX colors. BTW............piece of off-topic trivia. Did you know every NSX color is named after a racetrack?? There's only a few exceptions, Formula red, championship white, Midnight blue pearl.

None of those are very light.
Monaco = bubble gum looking bright blue
Long Beach = very neon looking blue (probably the brightest I have ever seen)
Monte Carlo Blue = My favorite, looks like a deep midnight when the sun is down and looks like the RSX blue during the day.

Same with the S2k's
I also prefer a different red from Rio, but it's stock so that's what I went with.
I wouldn't mind doing something like the new Miata Red that has just a hint of metallic flake.

Yeah...S2Ks were built in the same factory as the NSX so they have the same colors.

Yeah I'm still going to have to say that Tahitian green pearl is and will always be the best color for a CRX
