What is the rev limiter set at in a stock 91 Si? Cause i did a burnout today and was bouncing off the limiter and i looked down and the needle was bouncing slightly past 8,100 rpm!!!!!! I put a stop to that real quick. It did absolutely no harm at all, but why did it let the engine go that high? So far my car doesn't seem to have a governer either cause i've topped out my car at 135 and was at 7,200-7300 rpm in 5th. Does anybody think that's wierd? Could my ecu have a chip in it or something that i never knew about?
when i was in the accord....[02 honda accord lx sedan 4 cylc auto]
I was able to push it up to 6500 rpm..
and highest speed i went on that car was 140 mph.
but speed readings are very innacurate with tire size 195/65/15
but still. going 140 is like having your speed needle point at 3:30 position!
at that speed, my rpm was reading 4800
