i could see where they could help, but i think overall it's kind of a bad design. I don't like how my front end sags and would love for it to be more rigid... but if you attached that further out it'd be way more effective and i know there is a much better way to improve front end rigidity.
If they weigh more than 5 pounds they're way overbuilt also.

I have no idea how in the world those would really be helpful. That's a very strong part of the car to begin with. When I had my car apart I had the car on jacks for about 3 months. My floor of my garage is not 100% level. One day I was working and I slipped and my foot hit the front right jack stand and I kicked it out!! I realized the car wasn't even sitting on it, she was balancing on 3. So that tells me the front of the car was stiff enough that it was holding herself up in the air on the 3 jacks. I mean, sure we can use the old adage, "every little bit helps" ...... but what's the cost?, where the engineering? I think if this was a big area for improvement a custom piece should be welded in place rather than simply bolted with what looks like 14mm fasteners.

Man that's a pretty funny story! I agree that they are not worth the price listed. Also, I agree with Nick on the design. I've seen much cleaner designs of those before. If I could get a set for cheap (me = can't weld), I would get them though. I knew someone who had them put on their CRX and they said they definitly noticed a difference. One last thing, I also think if your car is older and/or more beat on, you could probably notice these braces more for rigidity and nose flex.
