OK....it's official. I sent an email to Honda-tuning today. I'm gonna follow up by sending them a hard copy of the letter and printed photos and possiblly a CD of my build web site.
Hopefully, by the grace of god

RIO will be considered, you have to figure these guys get flooded by vehicle submissions every month, I can only hope they read mine.
Here's the letter I sent ........
Dear Dan,
My name is John DeFini, I am the original owner of a 1990 CRX Si that I would like to submit for a possible spot in your magazine. I feel my story is quite unique and I’m hoping I can convey how much this car means to me and that it may be considered.
I bought the car back when I was in High School in 1991. This car has become a part of my life, I took my first date with my wife in this car when I was 18 and it’s been around through all the ups and downs of my "growing up". In 1996 I took her off the road and tucked her away in a garage patiently waiting for the day when I could rebuild her the way I wanted to. In 2000 I bought a 1988 Porsche 911 & recently a 1998 NSX-t and all the while my CRX has been waiting. I watched the import revolution blossom into what it is today and waited patiently as I started my career.
Rio has always been her name and last year after selling the 911 and the NSX I decided the time was right to build her the right way, the way she should have been from the factory. She came out of storage and was completely stripped. It took me 10 months and over ******* to complete. The results have been worth it.
The modification list is extremely long and I have detailed it below. The short of it is she now has a LHT intercooled Jackson Racing supercharged JDM Integra Type R engine putting out 269whp. The car also has a complete slew of suspension & brake upgrades as well as 15K worth of body restoration. The interior is mint and still has my High School tassel hanging from the mirror.
As I said earlier, this car means the world to my wife and I. We are very excited at how she turned out and would be honored and forever grateful for a spot in your magazine. I plan of keeping this car to my dying day and passing it on to my son. The thought of it being in a leading automotive publication and being able to keep a copy of that magazine with her to pass along as well is truly touching. My only hope is it meets the expectations and quality standards that Honda-Tuning has.
