Car's leaking fluids.
Before I thought I was leaking oil, a nice black puddle everytime I stop, and I was quite low on oil when I filled up, and the oil pan was covered in oil a long while ago. But now I think im leaking gas too.
It rained hard here this week, and everytime I would stop and park for a while, I would see the multicolor fluid in the water, you know like gas in the water colored, the real odd thing. So I guess im sort of leaking gas too because oil dosnt leave that coloring. So im not sure wth is going on here. I'll have to pull the car up later see whats going on.
The list of problems goes on....
Any ideas? About 200k miles on the motor at this point, time to swap I know, but I got something coming up that will take a lot of money so swap will come later, ill have to make the car survive for a little bit.

Turn your car on and look under the hood for the gas leak. Look around the fuel filter, the connection to the fuel rail and the fuel return hose. Good luck.

Of course look for the gas leak, but you would smell it as well.
For the record, Oil on the ground will create that strange muli-color stain in the water as well.

I looked that, and its fine its not from there, looks to be somewhere by the location of the drain plug, if looking from the top, its definatly more over on the drivers side.
Edit, looked at jadkars post, so its most likely oil leaking and not gas.
The guage is fine and I dont seem to be losing any, but im 99% sure im leaking oil, so if oil is creating the coloring then its that.
Ill check up on it later.. hm..
Also see how the magnetic oil drain plug held up.

Definitely oil.
What motor do you have??? Any oil coming from the oil filter? Did you change it lately? Maybe a loose drain plug/filter.
Oil pan seal? Is there a cam seal?

Where's the cam seal? Under the distributer on a stock motor?
Is it easily replaced?

distributer is your cam seal, there is a rubber oring on the distributer where it meets the head.
Is it easily replaced?
yes just mark your distributer and the distrubiter mount to keep your timing correct, pull the distributer out and replace the oring, and reverse order to put back together

Is there also one on the cam gear side on the D series? There are two on the B (for each cam). Mine was leaking there.

Although enough oil never came to leak on the ground.
I've voting for oil pan seal.

Yes,
There's a Cam seal (on the gear side) and a distributor O-ring on the other side.
IMO could be coming from:
Oil drain plug
Oil pan gasket
VC gasket
Cam Seal (again on the gear side)
Front crank seal
Rear Main
distributor O-Ring
I think I would check these, and in that order. Also, don't get super concerned with where you "see" the oil. If there is a lot leaking it's getting blown around so it's gonna be hard to tell where it's originating from. You need to get under you car with a can (or two) of brake cleaner and clean all the crap off the bottom of your engine. Get it nice and clean then start the engine and let it run parked for a while. Then start peaking around and try to pinpoint the leak. As soon as you drive it your gonna blow the crap all over the place again.

Juss ran through my head, how tight is the oil filter screwed in? After all i have overlooked the simple stuff many times before. Remember when i thought i had a busted CV and it turned out to be loose lug nuts. Cover all your basses.
