dilema here (i know i know)
alright, most of you know my parents are giving me 2500$ to spend on a new motor
so here is the dilema. either go with the b16 engine swap.
OR
get another dohc zc but also get a custom exhaust 400$. and a rim and tire package (around 1000$) Canadian $ though.
the motor shipped to my house would be just under 1000$ cad.
please help

i did the sohc zc motor swap, with the rim and tire package and custom exhaust >< (runs and hides from swinging bats)
so ok i bought my rim and tire package today for 1050$ tax in canadian dollars http://www.konigwheels.com/catalog_p...ID=1&ss_id=368
just talked to steve from hmotorsonline.com and put in my order for my sohc zc engine.
let me tell you guys, he knows his shit, doesnt bullshit around either. he's totally legit and he knows if he messes up, thats his reputation on the line. so he says he's gonna get me the best one that he has, the one that has the best compression and leak down test, gonna take 2-3 days to test everything on the motor to see if its in good running condition too. i tell you what.....cant wait to get this thing. i'm so pumped.

It was your money, but why the SOHC and not the DOHC?

1. the motor thats in my in crx right now is a sohc zc. so swapping over the same engine is gonna be easy.
2. more aftermarket parts for the sohc zc than there is the dohc zc.
3. when something breaks down. they're substantially easy to fix.

Sounds like a decent plan. Hope you enjoy it and have fun with the swap.

SOHC, DOHC, B, D, H, K.......doesn't matter. New stuff is great! Especially when it arrives. It's like Christmas in May!!!!

That's good reasoning.
