Planning on a SiR front end (JDM)
Well once again I'm prepared to put a little money into my favorite car. I was wondering, however, if the SiR front end - front bumper, and fenders - bolt perfectly up on a USDM CRX. I want it to look absolutly stock as if it came from the factory that way. By the way this whole front end idea was Jadkars. Also the same goes for the rear bumper from Japan (with red side reflectors). Thanks guys!

You're lucky you have me
I can give you all the advice you need, but no matter what anyone tells you you must listen to this fact......
The EF8 radiator support that comes with most of the JDM conversions will do NOTHING for you. People say it bolts up, they are lying!! It doesn't. You need a EF6/EF7 radiator support, they are hard to come by. I found one on ebay after asking several "JDM importers" through IM. Once you get one of these super rare EF6/EF7 radiator supports (actually correctly called a "tie bar") then the hood latch lines up correctly, it will be perfect!!
Read post #24 here, this guy is 100% correct...... http://jdmuniverse.com/forums/showth...5&page=2&pp=15
This is hard core CRX wisdom that is seldom found on the web!! Bookmark the page or better yet.... copy it locally!!
The other issue you will run into is the bumper holes don't match up very well, see this article here for solving this problem....

Rear bumper is stupid to do...so don't do it It looks identical to the USDM, but it's missing the heavy bumper support (just like the JDM front). So, yes you'll be saving weight but at the expense of being rear-ended and completely destroying your car. Since 65% of accidents are rear-end hits I thought I should keep it. After all it's only like 30lbs.
But like I said, they look identical.

Pooch, is that your Tahitian Green CRX in your sig? If so, that thing looks pretty clean and straight to me. Are you sure you want to rip off a perfectly good front end?
I think your car looks pretty nice

I'm gonna say you are not 100% correct here John. The JDM rear bumper has a subtle "lip" on it.
You can see it in the bottom right pic best:
I like it quite a bit, and I would buy one for sure. It still would be risky without the bumper support though, so I see what you mean with that.

Sorry buddy.....The 1990-1991 bumper has that subtle lip in it as well, just not the 1988-1989.
Take a look at the picture below.......click on it to get a HUGE image (56K go take a nap)

Hey Jadkar, I had to check my garage to see if you stole my compressor, and toolbox! (second picture) Mine are in the same exact orientation too.

Hey thanks a lot, it's pretty funny that only us Honda guys like that color... Anyways my drivers door pinched the fender in when it was dinged (by a lacrosse stick) and it's smashed now beyond repair. So I figured it'd be a perfect opportunity to do the front end that I've so longed for. Oh and that picture in my sig is actually reversed horizontally to give the illusion that my car is perfect on the left side.
Here's another subtle lip shot...
