Changed Speedo cable, Installed Vafc, Dyno on Monday!!!
I changed my speedo cable today. You guys were right...tape the new one to the old one and pull it through. After I lined everything up, it worked great. The main reason I changed it was because the speedo itself bounced and had a grinding noise. $32 from Honda.
I installed my Vafc also. I bought a harness from Boomslang.com. I know, I wussed out. I did not trust my wiring skills and was being lazy. Seems to be working fine. The main reason that I got it was to engage the vtec. Before I was using a RPM switch. I am going to the Dyno/Tuner to get it fine tuned on Monday. I will let everyone know the outcome.

Make that Tuesday, I hope. I got swamped at work...but that is a good thing since I am a co-owner. I will see if I can scan the results to let others know what to expect with a similar setup. Thanks for the support guys!

OK boys, I finally got it on the dyno today. Not the numbers I was hoping for but ...
I am running a D16, Y7 block, Z6 head, auto tranny, Vafc and lots more stuff.
"Naturally Aspirated"
HP at the wheels:101.25
TQ at the wheels:86.09
The "Dyno Guy" said to add 15-20 HP because the auto tranny on the dyno doesn't give you the same #'s as a standard tranny. Something about the shifting of the gears?
I will try to scan the printout tomorrow and give a detailed description of my modifications.
Hopefully this will give the D16 guys an idea of what to expect from your setups.

not too shabby!!!!! and with a auto!!! switch that damn thing over to a stick!!!!!!
my first dyno experince was on a vw day, so lots of 1.8t golf's vr6 getta's so on and so forth, but i had a "stock" d16 si motor with a aem cold air, dc 4-2-1 header, thermal exhaust rolling on some motegi mr7 ( heavy 18's on a crx!!)
110.7 hp
101 tq
back to back runs
we put a set of stocks on the front and i put down
118.2 hp
103 tq
hope you had fun!!!
and like i said put a stick into it!!

The dyno guy said I actually got more like 115-120HP. He told me something about the fact that I had an auto tranny, it threw the dyno #'s off b/c I had to run it in 2nd gear (all the way down) otherwise it would have shifted gears. That 2nd gear is a dog, I never use it. Also I am rolling on 16's. That didn't help much either. However, for an everyday driver, the auto is great.

I finally got the Dyno image on here!
These are my Dyno results with this setup:
-D16y7 block
-Z6 vtec head
-Apex'i Vafc
-ground wires
-header, no cat.,performance exhaust
-CAI, K&N filter, bypass valve
-(OBD0)-PS9 ECU, TB, Intake, injectors, fuel rail, and dizzy
-MSD external coil, Crane cams fireball cap and rotor, Accell wires
-Auto tranny
-16x7 wheels
-Naturally aspirated
Like I posted earlier, the Dyno guy said to add 15-20hp to my numbers b/c of the auto tranny. I hope this gives the D16 guys some Idea of what HP/TQ range to expect. He suggested a 50-shot of nitrous for a safe 40hp gain. It would be the best bang for my buck. I don't race it, but, I want to be able to win if a punk wants to try.
These #'s do not compare to Jadkar's but it is only a measly D16.
I am afraid I will stick with the auto for now for practicality purposes, however the "Dyno guy" is an avid drag racer and prefers an auto tranny...if you know how to manipulate it.
I want to thank everyone for thier support and help. I will continue my quest for speed. Next comes a paint job and body kit.

Right now I am not ready to tackle a project like that. I will certainly keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks man!
If you like to hunt, fish, camp or ride 4 wheelers...come on down. I have 700 acres to play on. It would be a good place for a future mid-national CRX rally.

Yes, Northwest Arkansas...the scenic part of the state. It has some really good curvy roads and mountains. Lets see what a few more people think and I will post a new thread to see how if it will fly.

So we've seen the dyno #s...did you feel a difference in the butt dyno after the tune? Or did you do a baseline to see what it put down before the vafc?
