I have no idea what happened today, but when I got out of college today, my car just got a whole new feel today, it was almost like the first day I got it. It felt speedy, nimble, fun, small, everything I always loved about it.
Lately I've been really mad at the car, because tons of things were going wrong, tons of parts werent functioning right, and I lost my trust in her being reliable.
But today, it all just clicked again from the second I sat in it. I started getting all the plans again of finishing it the way i wanted it and spending more money on it
So the project wont be forgotten!
Edit : Just to give you some idea what i've been going through lately :
Holes/disconect somewhere in the exhaust system so it sounds horrible at 4K rpm.. exactly the rpm i travel on to get to school
Rear brakes (89 drums) make a rattling/rubbing noise everytime I apply the brakes, i have no idea what it is
Water leaks through the passenger Speaker holder from exterior
Water leaks inside
Oil ALL OVER the bottom end of the block
Broken Driver axle boot
Faulty ground somewhere, all the guages go nuts
Broken fuse/relay for the driver turn signal so it blinks like crazy
Expanding rust on many points on the car.
Lip falling off/damaged bumper - got replacement for both but still.
Weather strip behind the driver side door shrunk or what not makes an abnoxious noise when driving from the wind.
Sunroof still not fully operational.
Wheel bearings or UV joints bad so the wheels shake pretty violently while driving.
Driver side window isnt alligned properly so i have to keep it closed, can roll it down but wont go back up in the right way.
and im sure thats not all.
But I truly enjoyed the drive back home today.
