I need Help!! MY rex wont fire up.

OK..I have a b16a swap in my 89 crx hf. For the pass few days it doesnt want to start up. well i took out my spark plugs and they were black n had some fuel on them. I cleaned them and put them back in the car fired up easy. Now I go today and try to start it up and it wont fire. I check the spark plugs n there wasn't fuel this time just black soo i cleaned them. and still the car wont start. oh yea my fuel pressure is at 35 psi right now.
My mods are i/h/e, Jg intake manifold. B&M fpr and guage.
Is there anyway that the manifold is causing this?

Had it been running ok until recently? Or did you just put this motor in the car?

the car just recantly started to act up.
I think i found the problem. I dont think my B&M fpr is working. It is set at 35 psi but the car is just getting fuel dumped into it.

This is really weird.

Please list anything and I mean ANYTHING you did recently to the car. Without throwing codes it could still be something in your distributor. I had major distributor woes and I had no codes. However, my stuff didn't start at all, you're saying yours was running and then out of the blue starting showing "no start" symptoms. Something changed somewhere. I'd would check....

1) wires
2) cap / rotor / timing
3) coil (hard to check without swapping it out)
4) ignitor (hard to check without swapping it out)
5) compression
6) lower your fuel pressure to 30psi, maybe there's too much fuel(just to check)
7) make sure there are no obstructions in your intake / filter

When it doesn't start does it try? Meaning does it stumble around a bit, or nothing at all?

Wow...this is exactly what 88 Rex did. Once he sees this I'm sure he'll speak up. He even has the Phearable ECU. Where did you hear about Phearable??

Was it our banner

lol i actually saw the phearable ecu on the introduce yourself thread and I read what 88 rex had and i saw the ecu. I always wanted the rywire package but i could never find a decent price on a chipped ecu. Thats y i checked out the phearable when I saw it on 88rex's post.
And i got to saw for $175 chipped with everything they say they give is a hella good deal.

Rywire and phearable are not only good products but GREAT people to work with. They all answered all my questions and called me if they had any. I would definitely give rywire a call to see what they can for you. Phearable was easy to work with over the net.

The rywire harness was all plug and play. They did all my wiring. They use JKOBD obd0-obd1 conversion harness' (which is now part of rywire). I have the OBD2 dizzy, but the obd0-obd1 adapter for obd1 dizzies is a nice plug in feature.

The phearable.net ecu is great for what it is. It had a decent base map and I believe he uses all of his own base maps from cars that he has tuned. If you plan on doing any tuning in the future than it doesn't really matter where you get it from. There are cheaper ones out there, but his service is . Mine is set-up for Hondata so all I need to do is get the hondata equipment and just plug it in.

Going OBD1 is definitely worth it!

ALSO! All my plugs came back labeled on the rywire harness which was a HUGE help. It came back looking brand new after leaving my house looking 17 years old.

Thanks for info..im definitly goin to get it now.
I fix the problem...i Got a new b&m fpr..and it works great now pressure is at 32psi rite now.
It took me a while to get the car started, because it had fuel that didnt burn in the head. All i did was use my kill switch to kill my injectors and just tried to start the car and to get the extra fuel to burn up. After about 5 minutes of that..i put the injectors back on and rite there the car started

Does any one have a vaccum line diragram..I just want to double check all my vaccum lines.

thanks
fraz
