ST sway bar on 88 installed
I finally installed my suspension techniques sway bar today. I was just going to line things up so that I could make some kind of spacers to mount the bar similar to using the ST kit for 88's, but I decided I wanted to mount it to the shock bolt like the 89-91's. So to keep this short and to the point because I'm tired and don't really have any pics right now because my camera is acting up. I removed the LCA's and then dremmeled the welds on the nuts that are welded onto the LCA's for the shocks. A BFH did the final work of removing the nut from the LCA. I was then able to install the st endlinks just like the 89-91's by using the the stock shock bolt and the stock nut that was welded onto the LCA. You just mount the bracket using the shock bolt and assemble the endlinks. I have no fitment issues with the shocks and the endlinks are at a pretty nice angle, nothing extreme. I have a slight banging of the exhaust where the ST bar doglegs over the bar, but that's being taken car of pretty soon with some hanger adjustments.
Impressions from some random street driving: The rear feels much more "tighter" when doing slaloms and tight turns. The back now has a more predictable feeling and now I'm excited to get to an auto-x and elimiate that understeer. I'm upset I've had this sitting in my garage for over 6 months.
If you own an 88 you do NOT need to order the extra kit. All you need to do is remove the LCA's which is a total of 6 bolts (3 per side) and then remove the welded nut from the LCA.
I have ITR LCA's which are dimensionally similar to 88 LCA's and I have the ITR bolt as my lower shock bolt (just thought I would mention that just in case the 88 CRX bolt is somewhat smallwer, even though I highly doubt it would make a difference.

you only get the rear one or both? I've got the rear and have debated buying the front one also but have heard mixed reviews.
I can't give good before/after impressions though because i replaced my entire suspension at one time. I'm an idiot like that.

I only installed the rear. I'm only going on the advice I have taken from others, but I should get better control and roll for auto-x with my stock front bar. If I do anything to the front it is to replace the old, beat up bushings for the front bar. If I decide that I NEED a stronger front bar I will probably hunt down a 19mm DA front bar.
And YES! this is definitely worth the $$$. Summit racing has them for the cheapest. I think it's like $129 for the rear only.
