Glad to see somebody else is doing a budget project.

I can spray it with spray paint for a short term fix, cause the whole car's gonna get painted over the summer. There's this white SUV/Truck touch up spray paint at Walmart that's a perfect match. It's what I did the bottom half of my car with. It's held up well for costing about $8.75

Found my bumper lights and I took the orange plastic piece out of the middle. I'm thinking about going up to Walmart and getting some 1000 grit sandpaper so after I sand the fronts of the bumper lights with 500 grit to get the spraypaint off, I can wetsand them and then polish them with some plastic polish, kinda like what you can do to oxidized headlights. Those with the new front bumper are gonna look good. I read somewhere that when you take out the orange plastic thing, you need to switch to amber bulbs.

I'm putting 96% of my money into my car so it shouldn't take that long to get it good.
I was looking at the $50 paint job thread and they have all the crap for that at my local home depot.
1 Gal. Professional Gloss White Enamel Paint = $24.95
Should be able to do the bumper and maybe the hood and fenders with that.

Take it from someone who has seen this with a buddy of mine. Keep it all the way you have it now and save money and get it all painted at once. Automotive paint is ment to be on cars, house paint is ment to be on houses

I'm sanding down my bumper lights right now with 220 grit and then 1000. I need to pick up some polishing compound today before work. BTW, i'm only working 2-8 today. :woot:

Dude a gallon of paint will go a long way you could paint your car about 3 times with that much paint.

There's gonna be no lawyer for the court cause its gonna be a guilty plea. I'll pay my shit and have a suspended liscense for 90 days and get on with my life. Only thing i'm worried about is, the parents don't know about it yet.

Well then I got something for ya.
"Son to Father letter
_______________________________
A father passing by his son's bedroom was astonished to see the
bed was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then he saw an
envelope propped up prominently on the center of the bed.
It was addressed, "Dad."With the worst premonition, he opened
the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:
Dear Dad,
It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had
to elope with my new girlfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene
with Mom and you. I've been finding real passion with Joan and she
is so nice-even with all her piercing, tattoos, and her tight
Motorcycle clothes. But it's not only the passion dad, she's pregnant and
Joan said that we will be very happy.
Even though you won't care for her as she is so much older than I,
she already owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood
for the whole winter. She wants to have many more children with me and
that's now one of my dreams too. Joan taught me that marijuana
doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing it for us and
trading it with her friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want. In the
meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so Joan
can get better; she sure deserves it!
Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 years old now and I know how to take care
of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be back to visit so you can get to
know your grandchildren.
Your loving son,
Jon
PS - Dad, none of the above is true. I'm over at Tyler's house.
My report card is in my desk drawer. Just wanted to remind you
that there are worse things in life. Call me when it's safe to come
home

Put things into perspective for em, It could always be worse, its pretty bad, but at least you didnt kill nobody or crash and you learned your lesson.

being a parent, the best thing you can do is to tell them!! it may hurt them but it will hurt them more if you hide it from them!!
