Ecu?

heres the deal
i have an (refer to username) and i have some questions about the ecu.
something didnt seem right to me, because riding in njn63's 91, rev limiter is 7200. its 7200 in my other friends 87 civic si, and 7200 in his 91dx.

so i assumed it would be the same....... buuuut rev limiter is actually 6500 in my car.
i checked tonight and it is the correct pm6 ecu.
6500 just seems ridiculous though.
questions:
is this correct, and the earlier models are just a little different?
and
if i pick up a pm6 from the 90-91 crx.... would it be plug and play with my car?

i think im going to borrow nicks and test it out, to see if it works.. but i figured i'd ask on here just for the sake of building up information on the forum.
plus im lazy and waiting for one of you to answer is easier than driving 8 miles to test it myself.

Any pm6 will be plug and play (95% sure), and my 89 si's rev limiter is at 7200 as well. Maybe it's an 88 thing...

8000 if you have a 89 ls ecu
Now all I need is a reason to rev that high.

As of right now, no. Once I put on my Y8 head (which is rebuilt, ported and milled) and get some tuning done, I could do it if I make power up there.

YAY 300!!!

Sorry for thread jacking btw
Yah I was thinking VTEC controller just didn't say it. No matter as I have a virgin P28 from a 95 EX-V.
