Civic stripped for the track
My civic no longer had any resale value, so i thought i'd turn it into a track toy. I think i'll make it one big advertisment for t-j!!!! Here are some teaser pics of what i've done so far, more pics soon to come.

Maybe a week total so far. The sound deadening was a pita. The rest was kinda fun taking out though.

Just for the track, I took out the airbag system and it has a test pipe so that's bye bye emissions. I figure once i get a good paying full time job, i'll go out and get a buick or some kinda plush cruiser on financing as a dd. I'm hoping that venting speed strictly at a track will cut down on my speeding tickets too.

Mostly drag racing. If i start making enough money, i may throw some good rubber on all 4 corners and i have a gsr rear sway bar that i haven't gotten around to installing yet. I just started at a gas station and they already have me scheduled for full time plus some. lol

Today i finished the battery relocation by running some 8 guage amp wire to the trunk. I measured up the interior and called my boy cause he's in the fabricating industry and i should have all the pipe for a main hoop within a week. And i bolted the drivers seat back in so I have something to sit on till i get a race seat.

Today i'll be going to get a coolant temp sensor, it was throwing a check engine light. I also need to get mobil1 oil and a filter from walmart. After my next paycheck, i'll look around area junk yards for an older dsm or volvo or something with a turbo and intercooler. Even if it's a side mount, i can retro it to sit up front since i took out the A/C heat exchanger. Then i need to get the ecu chipped and i think that's all i can get with that paycheck.

I could be wrong but 8 guage seems a little small for a wire of that length. I dunno... it just caught my eye. Good work though, i wish i had a car to do something spontaneous with.

Definitely is too small. The wire that burnt up on Nathan's car was 4 gauge.
I'll ask my brother for the page he used when he gets online. He has a page that explained how to calculate the gauge requirements dependent on length and everything.
