new struts

I have come to the conclusiion that I need to replace all 4 struts. I am possibly going to buy a coilover kit or just lowering springs this summer, so obviously need struts that will work with them. I'm thinking Bilstien, but will they work with these set-ups? Any input is cool and will be taken into consideration.

On inline 4, they have the full set for $650+ shipping. My ? is what is the difference between the street setup and the sport setup. I don't auto-x and I don'ttake it to the track often

bilsteins are nice. the oem replacements are pretty good and the self adjustables are good if you can find them cheap. Personaly I recomend the illuminas to any one whos looking because they are a pretty good shock. They go good with the h and r sport springs.

As for omni power coil overs I dont know anything about them but 600ish for a full coil over set up makes me wonder. What ever you end up doing dont make a decision based on what people here tell you all we can tell you are opinions based on what we have bought so we are biased. Spend some time researching what each manufacturer gives you.

Also before you spend money on a set up dont just go out and buy a set up like many people do. Thats one of the biggest mistakes in the tuning comunity. First figure out what you are going to need street track etc and then based on that make an informed decision.

I've read some real good stuff about the Omnis but honestly if they were $800 I'd be more likely to buy them $650 is just curiously cheap.
I have decided on a Koni yellow / H&R sport setup for my car. I'm hoping I can get back to stock ride height for winter by just putting the OEM springs back on.

the only problem I see with doing that is that when you lower a car, you are required to cut the bump stop. If you want to put the oem springs back in winter, I suggest buying 4 new bump stops so then you would have 4 cut ones and 4 normal ones.

sorry but you havn't done your homework. H&R does not require the cutting of bumpstops. if you did their warranty would be voided. the only H&R's that need to be cut on civics is the race but that is only iff you want it to lower an extra .25"F&R.

and since i have sports on my car now, i should know

H&R is a very good brand though. and i have never heard of any complaints from any of their users.

if your not going to be doing and auto-x or trackdays then tokico blues would be your best bet. but if you want something a little more then koni yellows would be IMO the best. they are dampening adjustable and have a ride height feature.
