I think I've lost my mind OR...

or I am thinking right.

I've been wanting 96~99 civic hatchback's for longest time, but every time I saw one stock on road, I was kinda disgusted, but then agian. today...

I saw one with 99 si front end convertion with what ever clean looking lip-kit on it and nicely dropped on some slipstreems...

that being said, my plans for the RSX/TSX/Accord has all failed down...

I think I am going to build a replica car of my friend's car that he is now currently working on, but in different color

B20 + Turbo = stoooopid fast.

yeah, just wanted to hear some of your guy's take on my crazy changes on my feature car.

and yes, I am locked on this choice from now on. no other car model will come in my mind unless i can find a 3rd or 4th gen $500 Accord sedan that I'll drive as a daily.

my budget isn't set yet, but probably around $2000~$2700 for the motor setup and what not.

what would you guys do, not that it'd make me change my options that I've setup for now, but if it sounds interesting enough, I'll do it.

now, feed me.

buy a modded car. yes, itll most likely have been beat on but it will be cheap as hell, and that 2000-2700 could be spent on adding onyto whatever motor is in there. try get a gsr swapped hatchie, they go for like 3000 bones on ebay all day long, and most of them are in good condition, thats just what id do.

Just find one with a motor swap already..its alot easier and cheaper..swaps do cost a good bit..trust me on that..I only wanted to spend 2500..end up spending more then 3000 ..just my 2 cents.

I say stay away from b20 turbo...b20's do have thin sleeves..for boost that is not good..unless you resleeve it..
I say find one with either a gsr or ls..both take boost pretty good stock and make good power..

the ls takes boost better than the gsr due to the lower compression ratio. if youre going all out boost go with the ls. b18b

that is true..ls will take boost alot better..but I'd go with the gsr..it is a better platform to start with turbo or n/a..having vtec is a big + because you can help the turbo spool up quicker..by dropping the vtec enagment.it also has a higher rev limit which will help alots on top end power..if you drag racing..
also at the same psi the gsr will make more power.

i did forget the thin sleeves on the B20..but I was only planning on pushing 4~5 psi. but boost is like crack...so i unno how long that'll hold up with me. anyhow, buying one with swap seems to be the choice.

ls or gsr, both'll make great platform for the hatchback i think.
