rear disc conversion FTW
well i decided upon my next "project for teh civic, i pulled apart the rear drums and decided "fuck this noise" and im just gonna go ahead and do the rear disc swap. heres the parts list
1.new rotors
2. trailing arms
3. calipers
4.pads
5.ebrake cable
6. brake fluid
now whatchu think abotu that?
ill present a DIY when im all done with it, should take a good day of solid work to get it all buttoned up, and get them brakes bled proper

this should be a good DIY ... go git 'em Logan.

might want to get the correct soft brake lines for the rear to avoid having to run around at the last second, and might as well look into upgrading your prop valve (to a 4040) if you are non-abs.

Drums are lighter
Drums are fun to work on and easy to maintain.

i dunno if they are fun when they are on a 15 y.o. car and are locked on with rust... but he doesn't have to worry about that probably.

discs are easier to work on, better stoppiong power, dont heat up as quick, and they look tits!

I did the rear disk conversion on my 00EX, LOVE it looks tits and stops a tad better  . a few threds down youll see it.
